East Cambridgeshire residents are likely to face steep Council Tax rises and their beautiful rural district become a building site, if the district council is absorbed into a new Greater Cambridge unitary authority, according to its leader.
East Cambridgeshire District Council has launched a new consultation to identify what issues local people are facing, what support they may need, and how the council can best engage with them.
A grand total of 75 oak trees are in the process of being planted across 20 locations in East Cambridgeshire, thanks to support from parish councils, schools, nurseries and landowners.
Businesses across East Cambridgeshire are being encouraged to consider the benefits of apprenticeships as part of the council’s drive to mark Apprenticeship Week (5 February to 11 February).
