Our Home Improvement Agency helps elderly, disabled and vulnerable people in East Cambridgeshire organise building related works to their homes that will allow them to remain living independently, safely and comfortably. 

We have a friendly and experienced team who will work with you to help you to apply for either a: 

In some circumstances we may also be able to provide assistance for adaptations if you are not disabled but are within a vulnerable or lower income group. 

We work closely with the occupational therapists, draw up plans, arrange planning applications, obtain contractors’ quotations and inspect the building work.

Charges

  • our advice is free  
  • our fees for adaptations which are being financed by a grant from the council are normally included in the grant calculations  
  • our fees for any adaptations financed by the client are agreed before work commences depending on the amount of work required
