Standard black bin deliveries have now been completed in: Aldreth, Barway, Ely, Haddenham, Littleport, Little Thetford, Soham, Stretham, Stuntney, Upware, Wicken, Wilburton.
We are currently delivering bins in: Bottisham, Burwell, Coveney, Little Downham, Lode, Mepal, Pymoor, Reach, Six Mile Bottom, Stetchworth, Sutton, Swaffham Bulbeck, Swaffham Prior, Wardy Hill, Wentworth, Westley Waterless, Witcham, Witchford.
If you are due to receive a larger black bin or live in a flat with a shared bin area, deliveries in these areas will start week commencing 18 May. Residents who will be receiving a larger bin have already been written to with full instructions. As a reminder, please put out your standard (180L) bin for exchange from 18 May and ensure you have kept hold of your calendar pack, as we will not be issuing a replacement with the larger bin.
Don’t worry if you forget to put the standard black bin out, we will still deliver your larger bin. Please note that the standard bin will not be emptied if it is put out alongside the larger bin on collection day. We will contact any households where we were unable to collect the standard bin to arrange collection.
If your waste and recycling is collected in bags, you will receive your new purple bags for rubbish and the food caddies, alongside a delivery of recycling bags shortly. This will be in time for the new service to start from 1 June.
We will be delivering your bins in April and May ready for your new collections to start from 1 June. If you haven’t had yours yet, you will get it soon. We are delivering the standard black bins first. If you have been approved for a larger bin, you may receive the standard bin initially. We are writing to affected residents separately to advise of the plan to swap the bin for the larger one.
If there is a problem with the bins you have received, please contact us using one of our forms below. We will be updating our website regularly with areas we have completed the deliveries in, so please check that list before reporting a missed delivery. If your nearest neighbours have received their bins and you haven’t, please wait until the end of the next working day to report a missed delivery - it may be that our crew have finished deliveries for the day, or have returned to the depot to restock their van and are coming back shortly.
Once you have received the bins, please read the information pack you have received with them, especially your collection day and which bins go out on which week.
It is also important to note that from 1 June, we will be emptying bins from 6:30am rather than 7am, so please make sure they are ready for 6:30am.
Please don’t use your new bins until the service starts. We won’t be able to empty them before then.
When your new bins and caddies are delivered, put your house number on them. This should help you get the same ones back. The food caddies will benefit most from identification because they are smaller and could easily get mixed up with other caddies.
