New bin service: Check where items belong
Our new waste and recycling service started on 1 June. If you're unsure where an item belongs, use our Waste and Recycling Lookup to quickly find the right bin and help avoid contamination.
If you are suffering from ongoing odours then please contact the Environmental Health team on 01353 665555 or complete our report an odour form.
Please include as many details about the location and the nature of the odour.
The spreading of livestock waste material onto land is allowed. There are, however, certain steps that should be taken to ensure good agricultural practice is followed to minimise odour nuisance.
These are contained in the Code of Good Agricultural Practice, which provides advice about the weather conditions that would be appropriate for spreading, the days to avoid, the need for the land to be cultivated soon after spreading, for example.
If you are suffering from ongoing country odours then please contact the Environmental Health team on 01353 665555 or complete our light, odour or smoke pollution form with details as to the whereabouts of the fields being treated.
