New bin service: Check where items belong
Our new waste and recycling service started on 1 June. If you're unsure where an item belongs, use our Waste and Recycling Lookup to quickly find the right bin and help avoid contamination.
Council Tax is charged on all domestic properties. The money collected goes towards paying for local services such as education, policing and waste collections.
Council Tax is managed by Anglia Revenues Partnership on behalf of East Cambridgeshire District Council. You can manage your Council Tax or update Direct Debit details online by visiting Anglia Revenues Partnership.
To calculate your Council Tax, you need to know three things:
It is usually one person over 18 years old (the liable person) that pays Council Tax. Couples living together are jointly responsible; you can have both names added to the bill to reflect this. A full list of who has to pay Council Tax is available on the government’s website.
If you are not sure which council you need to pay your Council Tax to, you can find out on the find my local council page on the government’s website.
You can find out what your Council Tax is spent on by visiting the Anglia Revenues partnership website.
