New bin service: Check where items belong
Our new waste and recycling service started on 1 June. If you're unsure where an item belongs, use our Waste and Recycling Lookup to quickly find the right bin and help avoid contamination.
Enterprise Zones
Enterprise Zones are designated areas aimed at stimulating economic growth by offering incentives to businesses to establish or expand their operations within them.
Lancaster Way Phase 2, at Ely is part of the Cambridge Compass Enterprise Zone
Within this zone, businesses could benefit from incentives such as:
- fast-tracked planning
- additional support for businesses from the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough local enterprise partnership
- access to growth funding
- freehold land for sale
- flexible commercial uses: Offices, R&D, light manufacturing, general manufacturing, warehouse and distribution
- diverse mix of over 75 existing businesses with approximately 1,400 employees
- project management support for both freehold or leasehold design and build projects
- on-site management team
- 24 hour, 365 days a year manned security with CCTV and ANPR cameras
- pleasant landscaped environment
- East Cambridgeshire has been ranked as the best place to live in rural Britain
- support from our economic development team
Enterprise Zone Status is only applicable to new builds for growing businesses relocating to the Phase 2 land.
