Over the past few years, Witcham Parish Council has been preparing a draft Neighbourhood Plan for its parish area. The Witcham parish has an area of just over 10 square kilometres and includes Witcham village.
During July, Witcham Parish Council formally submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to East Cambridgeshire District Council for independent examination and a final round of public and statutory consultation. After the consultation stage, the neighbourhood plan and other supporting material were considered by an independent examiner, Andrew Ashcroft MRTPI. The examiner issued his report on 18 November 2025.
