Waste Collection Loader
£28,031 per annum plus overtime
East Cambs Street Scene Ltd are currently looking to employ a number of permanent Loaders. We looking to recruit enthusiastic, hard-working people to help us deliver a vital service to our communities.

You will be based at our operations depot in the district of East Cambridgeshire.
We will provide training in all aspects of the role and there are opportunities to progress your career if you join our Driver Training scheme giving you nationally recognised qualifications and an increase in salary.
Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for collecting refuse and recycling throughout the district and other duties relating to delivering the Street Scene service. Ensuring that customers receive a high quality service, responding to customer enquiries out on your round and reporting back any issues to your team leader.
You will also have an important role in delivering a frontline customer service, and help to improve our recycling services, by delivering information flyers and materials to educate and inform the community to recycle more.
As a Waste Collection Loader you will be using large machinery, working around vehicles, and providing assistance to your Driver Team leader in manoeuvring the truck, so you will need to be looking out for the safety of you and your team. During your working shift you will be walking many miles a day and will be outside in all weather conditions, so this role is not for the faint hearted!
Essential skills and experience
To be successful within this role, you will need to have:
- Good general fitness
- Attention to detail and the ability to work to guidance and standards
- Flexible team ECSS approach to work
- Follow safe working practices including wearing the correct PPE in accordance with health and safety policies and report any issues to the Assistant Manager
- Be courteous and polite with members of the public and colleagues
