Crematorium Technician

Post number: CRE003

£33,699 to £38,220 per annum plus benefits

Join us at our brand-new Crematorium and Bereavement Centre, where every day you’ll make a genuine difference for families in their time of need

Lake View Bereavement Centre, near the beautiful cathedral city of Ely, opens in early autumn and we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Crematorium Technician to join our new team and provide exceptional care to bereaved families.

We recognise that death is a natural part of life. Saying farewell to a loved one in a meaningful way is as much about providing love, care, and support for the living, as it is about offering a respectful farewell to the person who has died.

As Crematorium Technician, you will uphold the client service promise and WOW (Ways of Working) standards, ensuring that every family experiences a respectful, dignified and reassuring service.

You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of the cremation process safely and lawfully, from receiving the deceased through to the careful handling of remains. You will maintain operational efficiency and ensure full statutory compliance, while supporting the smooth running of the Bereavement Centre. You will also help ensure that the centre and its grounds are immaculately presented and that all equipment is maintained and fully operational.

This role requires a balance of strong operational expertise and the empathy needed to support families during their most difficult moments.

If you hold an ICCM CTTS (Crematorium Technicians Training Scheme) certificate or an equivalent professional qualification, have proven experience in crematorium operations or bereavement services and thrive on working collaboratively within a team, then we would love to hear from you!
