Crematorium and Bereavement Supervisor

Post number: CRE002

£37,280 to £42,839 per annum plus benefits

Be part of something truly meaningful at our new Crematorium and Bereavement Centre

Lake View Bereavement Centre, near the beautiful cathedral city of Ely, opens in early autumn and we are seeking an exceptional Supervisor to help us deliver a special experience for those saying goodbye to loved ones.

At Lake View, we won’t rush people attending funerals, we will hold coffee mornings, community and memorial events, and welcome anyone who wishes to walk through our beautiful, natural grounds, overlooking the lake, which have been designated as a County Wildlife Site.

As Supervisor, you will lead with empathy, deputising for the Crematorium and Bereavement Service Manager and provide calm, professional guidance in a sensitive environment. You will ensure excellence, oversee daily operations and compliance whilst championing continuous service improvement. As an empathetic professional, you will guide families during their most difficult times with poise and respect.

The ideal candidate will balance emotional intelligence with regulatory expertise. You will have experience of supervising teams in high-pressure service environments, ideally within bereavement services and be confident in navigating sensitive conversations while ensuring full compliance with burial and cremation legislation.

If you are a highly motivated, compassionate and team-orientated individual looking for a rewarding role delivering high-quality, dignified bereavement services then we would love to hear from you!
